Kutna Hora Bone Church Tour
This tour is a 7 hour excursion from Prague including the bone church in nearby Sedlec. Since 1995 the town has been registered on the UNESCO protected World Cultural and Natural Heritage list. We offer for the independent traveler a smart phone app and an audio guide, so you will be in control of your own day. Or we can also offer the tour with a qualified tour guide in person (with the tour guide in person you still will get 90 minutes of your own time free).
At the start of the tour in the nearby village of Sedlec you will visit one of the most interesting burial places in the world called Kostnice (Ossuary). The church at Sedlec is decorated with sculptures and displays made from over 40,000 human bones. Also it includes a macabre chandelier made from all the bones in the human skeleton. A huge crest of the noble Schwarzenberg Family displays crushed skulls, the results of previous medieval battles.
You will visit locations such as the gothic St. Barbara’s Cathedral, Stone fountain, Jesuits Collage and Church of St James. Kutna Hora is situated approximately 65 km east of Prague. It was founded in the 13th century and due to its prosperous silver mining was the most important and richest town in Bohemia after Prague. Several Bohemian kings down the years made it their temporal residence.

Minimum group size – 2 people
Start time and length of tour – The tour is available Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 13.00pm. It lasts 6.5 hours, including transportation.
Price per person for smart phone app and audio guide included – Adults + students up to 26 years old: 1150 CZK, children from 3 to 10 years old: 950 CZK.
Price per person for qualified guide in person included – Adults: 1650 CZK, students up to 26 years old: 1550 CZK, children from 3 to 10 years old: 1350 CZK.
Transfers included – Yes, but pickup is from Na Prikope street in Prague center and you will be dropped back also in the center of Prague at Na Florenci.
