This tour is unique, you will not find a hi-tech visitor centre like this anywhere in the Czech Republic! The centre offers a full insight very cleverly presented with old newspaper clippings, videos, and hologram images to give the visitors on this Staropramen Brewery tour a full insight into the brewing method passed down through generations and a large part of the Czech cultural tradition. You can also even track the route of the export beer to your country of origin on a large electronic world map.

The Staropramen brewery is the largest in Prague and second largest in the Czech Republic, founded in 1869 it now exports to 37 countries around the world, the word Staropramen means (old spring).The Staropramen brewery tour is good fun and will give you a little bit of history into the beer making process, with the brewery so close to Prague centre it is an ideal tour if you are only in the city for a short break.

Staropramen Brewery Tour A

We will arrange for one of our staff to collect you at your accommodation in Prague by private coach, minibus or taxi depending on the group size. You will be transported over to the Staropramen factory in the Prague 5 area of the city and here in the visitor centre begins your tour. The tour is available in Czech, English, German or Russian. The Staropramen brewery tour will last approx 50 minutes, after which you will each sample 3 beers (listed below) from the Staropramen brewery (more beers can be bought if you so wish at extra cost), there is also a chance to purchase souvenirs in the bar area. After the tour and beer sampling we will take you back to your accommodation by public transport (we supply the public transport tickets also), the full tour including getting there and back should last about 2.5 to 3.5 hours, this is an estimate time we think you should allow.

Staropramen Brewery Tour B

We make a reservation for you with the brewery, after when we receive the payment from you we send you a tour voucher, the brewery will have a copy and will be expecting you, but you must make your own way there and back and we do not include a guide and transport. The tour is automatic with videos, holograms in Czech, English, German or Russian, also included are the 3 beers listed below. The full tour including getting there and back (we do not provide transport in this offer) should last about 2.5 to 3.5 hours, this is an estimate time we think you should allow.

Price per person Tour B - 420 CZK / 16 Euro

The centre can hold up to 30 people on one tour, for larger groups of more than 30 would have to split the tour into 2 sessions.

The beers you will sample at the end of the Staropramen Brewery Tour

Lager Beer, since 1869 this rich hop aroma beer has been quenching thirsts, with a bright golden clear colour and soft malty flavour with a thick creamy head.
Granat Beer, this darker coloured beer from an original recepie dating back to 1884, mixes pale and special malts, with a gentle bitter taste and full bodied hop smell.
Dark Beer, a full bodied lager with a mix of flavours from sweet caramel to the bitter hops, this beer is best described as a bitter sweet wonder.
