TOUR TO DRESDEN GERMANY

This tour offers a visit to the City of Dresden in Germany from Prague, today the city is the political centre for the Federal German State but its origins started as a fisherman's village, then later it became the Kings Residence. During the second world war the city was heavily bombed, destroying 11 km2 of the city centre, today many historical landscapes have been expertly restored and the city has risen from the ashes. Offering not only Baroque architecture there are many famous landmarks, amongst them the Zwinger Albertinum Gallery, Hofkirche and Frauenkir churches, and the Semperoper Opera House.

The tour starts with a pickup at your accommodation at about 08.30am (depends on location of your accommodation, we will confirm exact pickup time on booking), the luxury coach and guide will drive you on the highway to Dresden, stopping on the way at a service station to stretch your legs and refresh yourself. On the way to Dresden the guide will give you an informative speech on the city and details of what best to visit, for example the Zwinger Albertinum Gallery, Hofkirche and Frauenkir churches, and the Semperoper Opera House. The famous Zwinger baroque palace (entrance is not included in the price, this costs about 6 Euro), is located in the centre of the city, today it is a gallery displaying such works as the Sistine Madonna Angels, works of Rembrandt and paintings from many other renowned artists.

At around 17.30pm you will meet again back at the coach parking place for the departure back to Prague, it finishes with drop off at your accommodation in Prague. Dresden is set on the banks of the labe River and located in the south east of Germany, it`s close proximity to Prague makes this tour ideal by coach. We do not recommend combining this tour to Dresden Germany with other daytime activities as it is a full day trip. Please note: the visit to the interior of the Zwinger Albertinum Gallery does not include a guide or entrance fee, you will be free to explore the gallery alone. The tour comes in a choice of standard languages which are English, German, Russian, French, Italian, Spanish and Czech, you should let us know which language you prefer when booking.

Start time and length of tour - The Tour to Dresden Germany is available only Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Departing at around 09.00am and return at around 20.00pm, the tour lasts about 11 hours, including transportation (but all depends on traffic situation).
Price per person - Adults 1950 CZK / 72 Euro, children up to 10 years old: 1500 CZK / 56 Euro, sorry no discount for students.
Transfers and guide included - Yes, we will pick you up at your Hotel and drop off back to your Hotel in Prague.
