PILSNER URQUELL BREWERY TOUR

The tour trip offers an insight into the making of probably the most famous beer in the world which is Pilsner Urquell (correct name is Plzensky Prazdroj) produced since 1842 this strongly hopped beer is very popular. Nine out of ten beers produced in the world are derived from the original Pilsen Beer and the name (Urquell) in German or (Prazdroj) in Czech means (original source), the beer has a typical strong golden colour and original strong bitter yet fresh taste, all this and more you will learn on the Pilsner Urquell Brewery Tour.

The tour starts at around 11.00am in Prague, you will be picked up by coach and guide from your accommodation and driven to the town of Pilsen, you have about one hour free time to see around the City centre and maybe get lunch, then you will be taken direct to Urquell brewery. First there will be a short film of the Pilsner Urquell Company and then a brewery excursion and you will visit the modern day plants and also the historical beer cellars, you will witness first hand the brewing process and malt house. After you will be transported back to Prague where you will be dropped off in the centre.

The tour comes in a choice of standard languages which are English, German, Russian, French, Italian, Spanish and Czech, you should let us know which language you prefer when booking.

Start time and length of tour : The Pilsner Urquell Brewery Tour is available in the summer season 1st April - 30th October and also in the winter season from 1st November to 31st March except 24th December.
Departure: Summer and Winter season at 11:15am on Wednesday and Saturday only, (the exact pickup time from your accommodation we will confirm on booking). It lasts 7 hours, including transportation.
