KARLOVY VARY OVERNIGHT TOUR (2 DAYS)

Situated in the west of the Czech Republic is the spa health resort city of Karlovy Vary, it is approximately 130 km from Prague. The city was founded in the 14th century by Charles IV, and in legend it is thought that he had discovered the healing powers of the famous springs. The city transformed into a world know spa resort and many members of the European aristocracy came to visit. It also hosts the International Film Festival and produces the popular liquor called Becherovka and also has a main crystal glass producer called the Moser Company and since the collapse of the former Soviet Union Karlovy Vary has seen a huge increase of Russian business in the city and surrounding areas.

Day 1 - you will be collected in Prague from your accommodation in Prague and driven by luxury minibus or coach to the city of Karlovy Vary. On arrival you will visit the Moser glass factory to view the making of the world famous crystal, then on for a nice stroll with the guide through the city centre with it`s art nouveau houses, spas and luxury Hotels. The walk ends at the Thermal Hotel, and you will enjoy lunch there. Following lunch you will book into the Hotel and the guide will offer you 2 options for the second day, they are: Option A - a massage or jacuzzi in the wellness centre of your Hotel.
Option B - a trip to Loket Castle
In the afternoon on day 1 you can enjoy a nice swim in the rooftop swimming pool of your Hotel, with fantastic views of the city.

Day 2 - after breakfast you will enjoy either Option A or B of your choice and in the afternoon you have time for casual shopping and the chance to buy some souvenirs, or you can taste the local medicinal springs with healing properties. Then at approx 16.00pm you will be taken back to Prague (centre), departure from Karlovy Vary is from the Thermal Hotel parking area. This tour gives you a good guided insight into this beautiful town and also the freedom to explore on your own for a while.

Includes : transport from and back to Prague, a guide, 1 night bed and breakfast in Karlovy Vary, entrance to Moser Glass factory, lunch, Option A or B.

Note : if you require a single room in the Hotel there is a supplementary charge to pay extra to the Karlovy Vary overnight tour. We can aslo offer a Karlovy Vary Same Day Tour if it suits you better. The tour comes in a choice of standard languages which are English, German, Russian, French, Italian, Spanish and Czech, you should let us know which language you prefer when booking.

Start time and length of tour - This is available only summer season from 1st April 2011 - 31st October 2011 (But not available from 2nd July to 10th July).
Departure: 8:45am daily (the exact pick up time from your accommodation we will tell you on booking). It lasts 2 full days, including transfers.
Price per person - Adults 3490 CZK / 129 Euro, children up to 10 years old: 2990 CZK / 110 Euro,(sorry no student discount)
Transfers and guide included - Yes, we will pick you up at your accommodation and drop you back in in the centre of Prague.
