Bike Tours in Prague

One tour offers for the more energetic traveler a nice ride to Karlstejn Castle approximately 35km southwest from Prague. You will see below the four Bike Tours in Prague offers are fully described, all are very easy to book.

Prague Centre Bike Tour (option A)

This is a laid back bike tour, not too intense, no steep hills on the route. you will learn from the guide many interesting historical facts and legends about Prague. Visit en route such sights as the Municipal House, Powder Gate and the National Theater. After the Dancing House and Panoramic River Views of Prague, the Lesser Quarter (Mala Strana) and the famous John Lennon Wall. Then Kampa Park, the magnificent Charles Bridge, Rudolfinum, Josefov and the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square.

Duration – 2.5 hours
Length – 10km. 
Starts at
 – 11.30am on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday all year round. Also at 14.30pm on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in the summer season dates (April 1 – Oct 31).
Note : Tours do not operate from Dec 24 to Jan 2.

Scenic and Prague Castle Bike Tour in Prague (option B)

On this tour you will view the city from a different perspective. The tour will take you along the Vltava river banks and through Letna Park with superb views. Here you will have many great photographic opportunities, with many bridges on view. The tour then goes to the Royal Gardens and onto the Castle, a truly fantastic historical monument worth seeing.

You will then cycle to Petrin Hill and Strachov monastery, again you will have great panoramic views of the city. This tour has hills en route, but not too steep. When you reach the Petrin Hill part it is then downhill back to the start point. The main sights you will see are the Vltava River, Letna Park with panoramic views of Prague. Next the Kings Royal Gardens and Prague Castle, Petrin Park, Kampa park and Charles Bridge, the New Town and Wenceslas Square.

Duration – 2.5 hours

 – 10.00am on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday all year round. Also at 15.30pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in the summer season dates (April 15 – Oct 15).

Extensive Bike Tour in Prague (option C)

Extensive Bike Tour, if you are looking to make a full day on a bike tour then this is just designed for you! This is a 6 to 7 hour extensive tour and includes a lunch break in a traditional Czech Restaurant (not included in the price).

The tour starts in the city center and you will visit such sights as the Vltava River, Letna Park and Panoramic views of Prague. These include the former location of the world`s largest Stalin statue. Next onto Prague Castle, Petrin Park, Kampa Park, New Town and Wenceslas Square. Followed by Municipal House and Powder Gate and the National Theater. After the Dancing House and great views of the river Vltava, Mala Strana, John Lennon Wall, Charles Bridge, Rudolfinum, Josefov / Jewish Quarter and the Astronomical Clock and the Old Town Square.

Duration – 7 hours (with a lunch break, lunch is not included in the price)
Length – 20km.
Start at – 10.00am on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and 11.30am on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from dates (April 1 to Oct 31).
Minimum group size – 2 people

Karlstejn Castle Bike Tour (option D)

The tour starts in Prague center so you will get to see some of the sights of the city first. Then the bike path proceeds along the Vltava river bank, leading into the Berounka river. This is a picturesque route through the Cesky Kras area which lasts approximately 3.5 hours. Then you will enjoy lunch (not included in the price) in Karlstejn. Followed by a visit to the surrounding grounds of the 650 year old Karlstejn Castle, built between 1348 – 1355 by King Charles IV. The Castle housed the Royal Jewels as well as very important state documents.

Your guide will explain the history of the Castle and it`s time of great importance. Once the tour is complete you will be taken back to Prague by train, the ticket for the train is included in the price. This is a great tour with a difference and suitable for the more experienced riders. The tour does not include a tour of the castle interior.

Duration – 8 – 9 hours (with a lunch break, lunch is not included in the price)
Length – 35km (return by train, train ticket included in the price). 
Starts at – 09.30am on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from dates (March 15 to November 10). 
Minimum group size – 2 people
Price per person – 1750 CZK


The prices for the Bike Tours in Prague includes – a guide in English language, bicycle, helmets, wireless receiver headphone to hear the guide, insurance, city map and bag storage if needed.
Note –  baskets and bungee cords are optional, as are rain macs and warm gloves in the winter, these are all free if required. We can also supply kids bikes and kid towing bar and baby seats.
Transfers and guide – There is a guide but there is no transport provided (apart from the train ride back from the Karlstejn tour), you should meet at the downtown office which we will provide the full address upon booking.
